Biotherm: Biosource Instand Hydrating Softening Lotion

Hey lovely readers! I hope you’ve all had a good weekend. I’ve had a really nice day and will be blogging about it tomorrow so don’t forget to check back or subscribe to me to find out why (self promo, sorry not sorry!) šŸ™‚

I got given Biotherm’s Biosource instant hydrating softening lotion from my internship as a thank you for reaching targets and stuff, as they had a couple lying around. It’s a hydrating and softening lotion that is meant to be used after cleansing and toning but before serums and moisturisers.Ā  I use some acne treatments so I decided to put it on after cleansing and before these, as I felt it might wash them off what with it being watery!

Clinique High Impact Mascara (Before & After)

I’ve moved to http://www.touchscreensandbeautyqueens.com, please check out my blog there instead!

I saw a review on Clinique’s high impact mascara a few days ago and I didĀ a littleĀ inside squeal because I remembered getting it free when I ordered a couple of things off their website. I hadn’t used it because I had a couple mascaras open at the time and I know they only have a couple of months shelf life but I decided to dig it out and give it a go!

The mascara tube is pretty understated: black with silver writing and a silver lid. This can either mean two things normally: the product is rubbish and they haven’t bothered doing up the packaging, or the product is amazing and they don’t need fancy packaging. Let’s see which one it is!

Sleek Lip 4 Palette Review And Swatches

I’ve moved to http://www.touchscreensandbeautyqueens.com, please check out my blog there instead!
I’m going to be honest, I only heard of Sleek makeup when I was reading through beauty blogs a while ago and they kind of exploded over everyone’s feeds. I hadn’t got round to buying any when I saw that you got a few freebies when you subscribed to Cosmopolitan. Now I love Cosmo and I love freebies, so I was going to get it myself when my boyfriend decided to get it for me as part of my Christmas present. Cutie. I got a couple of other palettes but I honestly just haven’t got round to testing them out so I’ll be doing reviews on them sporadically I am sure.

Nivea In Shower Moisturiser

I’m really lazy so when it comes to my after shower routine, the less I have to do, the better. Bit of coconut oil on my face and hair ends and I’m happy leaving my usual routine until bed time. I hate moisturising my body straight after a shower. It’s always too cold! My instinct is to dry off as quickly as possible, throw on my fleeciest pyjamas and hide under the covers until the heating comes on, but this comes at the cost of having dry skin on my legs (although strangely enough, nowhere else) so I was quite excited when Nivea brought out their in shower moisturiser. I know it was a while ago that it came out but I’ve had a huge stash of shower gels and separate moisturisers, and limited money the past few months so it was low on my list of priorities.

Flutter Cosmetic Makeup Brushes

I’ve never been a makeup brush user. I have fingers and they’ve always done the job pretty well! However, recent purchases and gifts of different makeup got me thinking I should step out of my comfort zone and try new things. New year, new you right? I didn’t want to spend a lot on really nice brushes, in case I decided they weren’t for me, so when I saw these cute Flutter cosmetic brushes in Superdrug I knew they were the ones. The set includes a blusher brush, foundation brush, eyeshadow brush, lip brush and a really cute butterfly bag to keep them in, all for only Ā£2.99 from Superdrug. The brushes are synthetic and feel really soft. I’m actually reluctant to use them because they are so cute!

Sale Buy / Urban Outfitters Vintage Jewellery Stand

I’m not a big jewellery wearer. Not because I don’t love it, because I do, and I have plenty of it, but because I can never be bothered to sort through my piles of tangled jewellery to find something I am in the mood for. Way more effort than it’s worth! I’ve been wanting a jewellery stand for a while but I hadn’t made any attempts to find one. It was only New Year’s morning that I decided to have a look online. I was still half drunk, my boyfriend was asleep, and my card was in easy reach of my bed. What choice did I have?

I had found a free shipping code for Urban Outfitters and wanted to take advantage of this so went straight to their website. There are actually a few really gorgeous stands in their sale. One was a gold bird cage stand for Ā£6 which tempted me, but with no hooks I figured instead of my jewellery being an unorganised mess in a box, it would just be an unorganised mess in a pretty cage. It was pretty painful tearing myself away from the ‘add to bag’ button but I managed it, and came across this pretty little vintage stand. With hooks for necklaces and a tray for rings, all for only a fiver, I literally (sorta) couldn’t resist!

Beyonce Pulse

Beyonce is everywhere at the moment, what with her tour and her raunchy new videos. I’m actually probably one of the only people in the world who doesn’t think Beyonce is AMAZING. Don’t get me wrong, I think she is gorgeous and IĀ  think her music is good, but I just don’t get the fascination with her. I do, however, love her perfume Pulse.

Salcura Antiac Samples

I’ve been on a couple of tablets for my acne for a few months now and they have finally started working and I haven’t had any new spots for a few days (touch wood), however I couldn’t resist trying a free sample of Salcura Antiac (kindly pointed out by www.parsimoniouspenny.wordpress.com). Embarrassing Bodies has dubbed it the best acne brand available without prescription, and anything endorsed by Doctor Christian is bound to be good! The Antiac pack came with three sachet samples of the Daily Face Wash and one bottle sample of the Activ Liquid Spray. Salcura only uses natural ingredients, so I was hoping that it would be less harsh on my skin than Quinoderm, which I am currently using.

Maybelline Master Precise Liquid Eyeliner

I’m rubbish at putting on liquid eyeliner. So rubbish that I never wear it, and when I attempt to put it on, it takes me minimum of three goes before it looks mildly decent. I find it too hard to get close to my lash line, too hard to hold and manipulate an awkward shaped lid, and too hard to create the perfect flick. I haven’t attempted to wear it at all for a while due to my lack of eyeliner and motivation, however, recently I’ve been super bored of my face so when I saw Maybelline’s master precise liquid eyeliner in Superdrug whilst on a browse I decided to give it a go.

Argon Oil Night Repair Serum

Ā I love oils. My ultimate favourite is coconut oil, with almond oil coming a close second, but I think the title of 2013’s most recognised oil goes to argon oil. It’s most common in hair products: I’ve tried a few and had some success with them, so when I got given an Argon Oil night repair serum for Christmas I was pretty happy with it.
